The founder story
Ferroxel Hosting started as a side project — a self-hoster running Minecraft servers and small WordPress sites on rented boxes, tired of oversold $2/mo nodes that couldn't handle a handful of concurrent connections. After years of building infrastructure for friends, clients, and indie communities, it grew into something bigger: a hosting company run by operators, not marketers.
The goal is simple: publish the real specs, price it honestly, and never jack up renewal rates. We chose cPanel/WHM for web hosting because it's what self-hosters and agencies actually expect, and Pelican for game servers because it's the cleanest panel available today. Every decision starts with "would we use this ourselves?"
Infrastructure philosophy
Three rules we actually hold to.
Real specs, published
What the plan page says is what the plan gets: CPU model, cores, NVMe vs SSD, node limits. Hardware specs are on every plan card — no hidden oversell ratios.
No overselling promises
No "unlimited everything". Where we say unlimited, it's because the product genuinely is (e.g. player slots). Where it isn't, there's a number.
Automation over ticket roulette
Provisioning, backups, and SSL are automated. Humans stay available for the things automation shouldn't decide — migrations, custom configs, and honest advice.
Straight answers to budget-host skepticism
You've been burned before. Here's how we answer the usual doubts.
Correct — so we don't promise 100%. We target 99.9% and back it with a published status page and 10% credit per hour of confirmed downtime beyond the SLA. Nothing "100%" anywhere on this site.
Real first-response SLA is under 1 hour during business hours, under 4 hours outside. Tickets get a human, not a copy-paste script; if we don't know, we say so and escalate to whoever runs the node.
Not here. Signup price is renewal price, in writing in the ToS. Annual plans show the saving up front, and nothing silently converts.
We publish the host/hardware per plan, and a nproc/free -h walkthrough
in the knowledge base so you can verify what you rented.
